Many actors took to the red carpet sporting chic new hairdos.
From Keira Knightley's tousled waves to Emma Stone's wavy long bob, the lovely locks were just as important as the designer dresses at this year's event.
And now Nicky Clarke Electricals have revealed the secrets to how you can get your favourite stars' style in just a few simple steps.
Reese Witherspoon - Hollywood Curls

Step 1: Dry hair in layers and create a neat middle parting.
Step 2: Use the Nicky Clarke DesiRED Roller Pod to create loose Hollywood curls by wrapping round triangular sections of the hair, start at the bottom and wrap around the roller until about chin level.
Work your way through the hair, starting from the bottom layer upwards.
Step 3: When you have finished, brush through the curls to loosen them and then rub a little serum to add shine. Finish with hairspray to keep in place.

Keira Knightley - Tousled Waves

PRETTY: Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley looked sweet as a cupcake at this year's Oscars [GETTY]
Step 1: Create a centre parting and take sections of hair in the shape of diamonds and start at the face working backwards.
Take each section, comb through and wrap around Nicky Clarke Mayfair Multistyler to about ear level.
Use the biggest barrel for volume-filled waves a la Keira! Keep the multistyler horizontal at all times as this will give the look more width.
Step 2: Leave the curls you have created loose in order to cool down and really work your fingers through your hair to separate the curls, adding a little bit of serum to smooth and create shine.
Step 4: Spray a bit of hairspray on the tips of your fingers and make circular motions on the top of your head to add volume and make it look more lived in. Finish with a pretty hairband tucked in behind the ears.

Step 1: With wet hair, create a sweeping side-parting, using the arch of your brow as a guide, and use a large round bristle brush to create the smooth, swept over fringe.
Then continue to dry the rest of the hair.
Step 2: When hair is completely dry, take sections of the hair starting from the bottom and wrap around the Nicky Clarke Diamond Shine Pro Salon Styling Wand, keeping it horizontal when curling to add volume. Continue throughout the whole of the hair.
Step 3: Brush through the curls and add a little serum to smooth and then using grips, pin the opposite side of the hair your fringe around the back of the head to create the ‘swept over’ look. Finish with hairspray.

SLEEK: Jennifer Aniston flaunted her famous tresses for the glamorous event [GETTY]
Step 1: After washing, dry hair with the Nicky Clarke Diamond Shine Pro Salon Blow Dryer on a medium heat and medium speed to avoid frizz.
Rough dry until 80 per cent dry, tipping your head forwards to add volume.
Step 2: Create an off centre parting and then use the Nicky Clarke Frizz Control Smooth & Shine Hot Air Styler to dry the hair.
Use a clip to dry in sections and work from the bottom of the head upwards, pulling the styler up and in at the ends to create smooth and shiny locks.
Step 3: Finish with hairspray and a little smoothing serum at the ends to add shine and keep in place.
