Jared Leto gaining weight for Joker role
Oscar-winner Jared Leto, who will play Joker in "Suicide Squad", says he has been trying to gain weight for the role in the super villain movie. The 43-year-old opened up about his preparations for the role in an interview with the Billboard magazine, reports aceshowbiz.com. “Do you mind if I eat a little? I'm trying to gain a lot of weight. It means I have to eat every couple of hours - and I'm terrible at eating a lot,” he said. Leto further shared why he chose to play the Joker. “The opportunity to take on this nearly Shakespearean character - that's what graphic novels and comic books are becoming, right? (He's) this beautiful disaster of a character - what a big challenge,” he said. “Suicide Squad” also stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne. Directed by David Ayer, the film is expected to be released on Aug 5, 2016.
JASON MOMOA as Aquaman in Man of Steel 2
The most anticipated superhero movie of recent times 'Batman Vs Superman' is around the corner. And people are eagerly awaiting the first look and glimpses of what they should expect. Zack Snyder released the first look of Aquaman, one of the founders of Justice League of America, on his Twitter page recently. The superhero from the seas has been given a smart black and gold costume, (in contrast to the orange and green costume that he dons in the comic books) and boy does it look stunning!  Earlier Snyder had posted pictures he took with his camera of Batman and the new Batmobile which also garnered a lot of praise.

GINA CARANO joins the Deadpool movie as ANGEL DUST
Femme Fatale Gina Carano will be playing the character of Christine a.k.a. Angel Dust, a mutant capable of unleashing adrenaline into her system (rendering her nearly superhuman for periods of time). The character owes her origins to Geoff Johns, and was first introduced as a member of the Morlocks, an underground mutant cell created by prolific “X-Men” writer Chris Claremont. How her character will fit into the film isn't clear, but the Morlocks' ties to the X-Men universe are to be expected. As a mutant who owes his mutation to the same Weapon X program that gave Wolverine his adamantium skeleton, Fox made it quite clear that the big screen Deadpool would be a part of the X-Men universe. That will likely bring him into contact with plenty of mutant enemies (with the actor playing the film's villain potentially revealed), with Carano looking to be one such rival. Deadpool releases in theaters February 12, 2016.

HACKSAW RIDGE
Mel Gibson's first directorial since 2006
Lionsgate Films is in final talks to acquire North American distribution rights for Mel Gibson's latest directorial effort, Hacksaw Ridge. The film – which stars former Amazing Spider-Man Andrew Garfield – marks Gibson's first film as a director since Apocalypto in 2006. Hacksaw Ridge tells the true story of war hero Desmond T. Doss (Garfield), who was the first objector in American military history to receive the Medal of Honor despite his refusal to bear arms for religious reasons. Details of the deal with Lionsgate haven't been disclosed, but estimates place it as high as $15 million. Robert Schenkkan (The Pacific) and Randall Wallace (We Were Soldiers) wrote the film.

KING ARTHUR Guy Ritchie's next film franchise
Like the Sherlock Holmes film series, the recent take on King Arthur intends to jumpstart a series of films, though there's no telling if Guy Ritchie aims to remain actively involved in prospective sequels. At this time, no plot details have been released for Knights of the Round Table. However, it's likely that the villain will serve as an origin story for the legendary king. Joby Harold – who wrote and directed 2007 thriller Awake - penned the script for this movie. Eric Bana has joined the cast as Uther, Arthur's father, in the Warner Bros. film. Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) is set to play Arthur, with Astrid Berges-Frisbey as Guinevere. Jude Law – who played Watson in both of Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes films – is still reportedly in talks to play the villain.

VIN DIESEL
is an Immortal Witch Hunter
From the name, it may seem like another movie set in the past. But it's not. The Last Witch Hunter casts Vin Diesel as an immortal who is tasked with the job of coming between the covens of New York City and their goal to destroy humanity by way of a horrific plague. In order to accomplish this he must partner up with a beautiful female witch, something that he thought he would never do. "The more we film, the more I think you will really enjoy this movie. Kaulder is a very unique and interesting character, who has lived for centuries with one foot in reality and the other, in the realm of magic," said Vin Diesel on his facebook page a few weeks ago, attaching a photo of himself as the lead character Kaulder. It's also good to see that Diesel's taking on more genre fare as the years go by - with Torretto and Riddick still arguably his most iconic roles. In the last witch hunter, Diesel will battle against an uprising of witches in modern day New York. The movie, which also stars Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones) and Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings) and Michael Caine (Inception, the Batman Trilogy) is slated for release on 23 October 2015.
