Showbiz news - Celebrity Masterchef: Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding joins cooking competition

FORMER Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding is swapping the sound of the underground for the heat of the kitchen - after signing up to take part in Celebrity MasterChef.

Blonde Sarah, 33, will compete against a number of other celebrities as they battle it out to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with their culinary skills.
Last year’s Celebrity MasterChef saw actress Sophie Thompson, 53, crowned the winner after beating ex-model Jodie Kidd, 46, and travel presenter Charley Boorman, 48, in the final.
Bosses are currently filming the celebrity version of the hit BBC One cooking competition which will air after the normal version of the show finishes on our screens.
A BBC source told the Daily Star: “Sarah was a great signing for Celebrity MasterChef and certainly brings a bit of glamour with her into the kitchen. She’s also a pretty good cook. Everyone loved her on Tumble so we knew she’d also be great for Masterchef and so far she hasn’t disappointed.
"The Celebrity version is being filmed at the moment. There’s a lot of secrecy as to who she’ll be competing against. But everyone is confident that they’ve go the mix of celebrities just right.”
Sarah made it to the final of Tumble but lost out to actor Bobby Lockwood who won the public vote.
