"Napaka-imposibleng magawa 'yan ni Cesar sa mga anak niya. Wala siyang maalalang ganyang sitwasyon except for one he was like fixing his pants."

NOTES ON THE 2015 OSCARS. Lupita Nyong'o's simple but stunning Calvin Klein gown with 6,000 pearls made her best-dressed at the 2015 Oscars!... HBO got exclusive airing of the last Oscar awards. That's why its carrier from 2010 to 2014, ABS-CBN's narrowcast channel Lifestyle Network, was dumped!... With her performance of "The Sound of Music," "My Favorite Things," and "Climb Every Mountain," is Lady Gaga repackaging?... The Oscar management has not issued a clear-cut explanation why Joan Rivers was left out of In Memoriam Oscar tribute!... Many were relieved that Clint Eastwood did not win Best Director for American Sniper!... Many predicted American Sniper would not win Best Picture for Clint Eastwood's use of a doll when two live babies, the original choice and the standby, were not available for a crucial scene!... Before announcing the winner, Sean Penn cracked an insensitive joke about the immigration status of Birdman's Mexican director Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu. "Who gave this son of a b---h his green card?"... Even in the Oscars, indie film rules!... Huffington Post rated the last Oscar as "Hollywood's biggest, boringest!"
MOTHER IS FATHER TO THE REVOLUTION. William Wordsworth recites in the poem: "The child is father of the man," a child has developed physical characteristics, personality traits, attitudes that determine what he will be like as an adult. But below quote from Kris Aquino gives an analogy, the mother is father to the child:
"Friends have asked where do I get my strength?" Kris addressed her Instagram friends. "I replied: from my Mom, from what I saw in her growing up, from what she instilled in me, she never condoned my mistakes, but she never lost faith that I could be better... And most of all, because she taught me how TO PRAY...Until she died, my Mom never showed me weakness, sa kanya BAWAL ANG DUWAG."
Kris owns up her mother's influence on her and the rest of her siblings who acted also as father when Sen. Benigno Aquino, Jr. was incarcerated and later assassinated.
She must feel strongly about this as she and her brother, Pres. Nonoy Aquino III, are now subject of harsh criticisms even from known allies in connection with his unfeeling handling of the Fallen 44 issue.
We know that ex-president Cory was father to People Power. Or for that matter, Jose Rizal wrote his anti-colonial novels, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, to show the injustice committed to his mother by the Spaniards, Teodora Agoncillo is Mother of the Philippine Revolution.
Now that it is the last day of the four-day commemoration of the 1986 People's Revolution, the following celebrities own up to the benefits of People Power 1 that we enjoy now:
Being February-born, Heart Evangelista was one-year-old when People Power 1 took place: "I can safely say that the People Power gave me the freedom to be what I want to be. Without the People's Revolution, I could have not been what I am now kasi controlled ang media and wala tayong freedom to choose. Lahat ng ito ay naging sa atin kasi ibinalik ng People Revolution ang freedom natin."
A true showbiz royalty, Luis Manzano expressed, "May freedom tayo to do business ngayon. 'Yung success ng taxi business ko I attribute to the favorable business condition we now enjoy. Sabi ng Mommy (Gov. Vilma Santos) before People Power kasi masama ang tayo ng mga businesses due to government instability at pabagsak talaga ang mga businesses."
Mitch Valdes agrees but has a bitter reservation: "Freedom of speech and creative expression which is now abused by anonymous haters."
But Sen.
Naging revolution of the rich ito! Mahirap ang gumawa pero mayaman ang nakinabang."
Even celebrities on the other side of the political fence agree to this thesis. Norberto Gonzales, ex-president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's defense chief, says there will be no repeat to People Power as it was a simultaneous reaction and could not be planned.
Vice President Jejomar Binay, perhaps the most interested in this issue, has no plan of joining such adventurism, even leading the revolutionary government that anti-Pnoy factions are espousing now. He even attended the 29th anniversary of the People Power 1.
He gracefully left the stage when told to leave P-Noy's group during the wreath-laying ceremony at the People Power Monument on White Plains Avenue in Quezon City. After the short ceremony, VP Binay told reporters not to make a controversy out of this.
He explained in an ambush interview: "Napag-utusan akong bumaba. Ang nasa isip ko naman siguro dahil kasama ako sa martsa. Kung nandoon naman ako sa taas, ang lalabas lang nandoon ako dahil sa Vice President ako."
This shows VP Binay is thinking like a statement now than a politician with a big stake in the 2016 elections. I wonder how VP Binay's mother made him into the man he is today.
