International Business news - Philweb pushes more E-Games in RP cities

egames-social-games-observer Branches of E-Games are major sources of revenues and taxes. They provide many jobs in places where they operate.
However, the full potential of E-games is not being maximized because many important cities don’t have it.
Dennis Valdes, president of PhilWeb Corp., the corporation that manages E-Games, said there are plenty of strategic places that have yet to try E-Games.
Records show leading cities and areas where E-Games are not found are Boracay, Baguio, Tagaytay, San Pablo City, Taguig and many more.
An E-Games branch could give a locality withholding, income and community taxes aside from the average 20 jobs it can create.
Jobs a branch of E-Games creates include cashiers, gaming assistants, security guards and utility personnel.

“The main issue is the mayor should allow a branch to open in his area. He has the power to proceed whatever he wants when it comes to opening a branch in his jurisdiction,” Valdes said.
There are presently 300 branches of E-Games. Sixteen of which are operated by PhilWeb while the rest are by different operators.

A branch of E-Games, which costs P5 million, has faster return of investments of one-and-a-half-year.
An RoI of a popular burger chain is at least three years and the franchise royalty ranges from P15 million to P20 million.
The P5-million investment is the minimum allowed by the Philippine Amusement Gaming Corp. which is good for a branch with 25 terminals.
