Supply of food to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office remained disrupted since Wednesday night.
Her staffers alleged that they could bring in neither breakfast nor lunch packets on Thursday after the police had first stopped the entry of foods into the office.
In such circumstances, some BNP leaders and Khaleda Zia's personal aides staying there had to eat dry foods, they said.
The BNP chairperson's press wing member Shamsuddin Didar told Prothom Alo that Khaleda Zia arranged some dry foods including dates and puffed rice for her staffers after she came to know that the police barred the food supply at her office.
When asked, Khandaker Lutful Kabir, a deputy commissioner at Gulshan police zone, said they were not aware of such allegations. "As we know, foods were supplied there yesterday (on Wednesday), as they are done every day," he added.
The BNP chairperson has been staying at the Gulshan office since 3 January.
