Singh's directorial debut “Roy” has started off on an impressive note
on the ticket windows, collecting Rupees 10.4 crore on the day of its
release.
The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and
Jacqueline Fernandes, was dissed by the critics. Still, given the
opening day collections, Ranbir could now heave a sigh of relief
considering that this was his first film to hit the screens after a
year. He plays a conman in the film, with Arjun and Jacqueline as
filmmakers.
The romantic thriller produced under the banner of
Freeway Pictures, has already received strongly positive reviews on its
music, composed by Ankit Tiwari, Meet Bros Anjjan and Amaal Malik. Songs
like “Sooraj Dooba Hai”, “Yaara Re” and “Tu Hai Ke Nahi” have been big
hits on Youtube.
