At least eleven people were killed and a number of others injured as a tin-shed house collapsed in Hajipara area of Rampura in the capital on Wednesday.
Assistant deputy commissioner of police of Motijheel zone, Farid, confirmed this to Prothom Alo.
The accident happened around 3:30pm at Matir Masjid area in Hajipara.
The injured have been shifted to a local hospital.
The fire service is conducting rescue drives in the area with the help of the local people, Farid added.
